Architecture and Design (A+D) Consultant

SUMMARY

The A+D Consultant is responsible for lead generation, A+D customer development/leadership, product knowledge, brand exposure, specs generation and sales closure through a framework of both specified and unspecified projects within an assigned geographic area. Consultant will develop and implement an approved marketing and branding plan, which will meet both personal and business goals, and work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term account goals in line with the company vision and values.

Territory

Downtown LA; Pasadena, CA

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain the highest level of product and technical knowledge
• Identify top commercial-based architectural firms in the geographic market and develop strong relationships with key decisionmakers to create and secure regional and national specifications for company products
• Track commercial projects from specification through to completion
• Provide continuing education to A+D professionals through product updates and presentations
• Prospect for both specified and unspecified projects to ensure a growing pipeline
• Utilize CRM to track potential and upcoming projects while maintaining accurate and comprehensive account list
• Update daily activities and campaigns
• Create and maintain a strong harmony with the regional commercial team and HQ Coordinator
• Facilitate frequent job tracking meetings with the regional commercial team and HQ Coordinator
• Maintain all reporting mechanisms including CRM, expense reports and any additional duties required by the Regional Manager and Director of A+D Channel
• Plan and participate in local events and associations monthly meetings
• Communicate market trends and shifts to Director of A+D Channel

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience selling architecturally specified products
• Background in construction materials required
• Demonstrated sales ability
• Knowledge of local/regional markets preferred
• LEED AP or GA preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or similar discipline
