  • Overview

    The Sales Analyst will perform a visible role that interacts directly with the Vice President of Sales, as well as the Vice President of Marketing.  Extensive research and analysis of regional sales/target markets will be a large part of this role, in addition to developing ad-hoc reporting, dashboards and competitive analysis.  Establishing standardized reporting structures and cadence for important metrics is a key requirement.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design, develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly dashboard reporting to support the Sales & Marketing organizations KPI’s
      • Order Demand Tracking
      • Sales Analysis (Channel / Customer / Product Group / Region)
      • Monthly Reporting reconciliation
    • Provide Sales team direction regarding sales patterns, trends, and future purchases to drive business decisions
    • Support Sales forecasting process
      • Weekly & monthly Region roll-ups
      • Quarterly Forecast & Annual Budget planning (revenue & expenses) 
    • Sales incentive compensation program management
      • Liaise with Sales leadership to develop incentive programs
      • Track & report progress to Sales team and leadership
      • Oversee incentive calculation and payout process
    • Execute operational pricing maintenance within ERP system
    • Generate ad hoc reporting for Sales, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, and Product Management teams

    Qualifications

    Competencies

    • Detail oriented with strength in high-level data analysis
    • Familiarity with sales reporting.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
    • Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
    • Good group presentation skills and ability to convey complex information to a broad audience
    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
    • Familiarity with sales reporting
    • Advanced knowledge of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with expert knowledge of Excel
    • ERP experience (Oracle preferred)
    • Understanding of the S&OP business planning and demand forecasting process a plus
    • Experience in the construction/construction products industry preferred, but not required
    • Accounting/Finance experience preferred

     

    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
