  • Overview

    The primary function of this role is to secure compliance among Caesarstone’s North American affiliate fabricator network, in the USA and Canada. The standard encompasses Employee Health and Safety (“EHS”), environmental impact, business ethics, Employee-Employer relations, etc.

     

    Securing compliance is accomplished via onsite audits, which are conducted to identify deficiencies, and via consistent subsequent follow-up, to ensure said deficiencies are addressed within the established timelines.

     

    The audit portion of the Compliance Specialist role is conducted independently; coordinating audit timing with fabricators, scheduling travel, completing audit reports, etc. The follow-up portion of securing compliance requires a collaborative approach, working jointly with Caesarstone’s IKEA Coordinator Team. As such, a qualified Compliance Specialist candidate must be skilled at operating independently during the audit phase and as a team leader during the follow-up phase.

    Responsibilities

    • Conducting onsite audits of affiliate countertop fabricators across North America
    • Supporting affiliate fabricators in developing appropriate Corrective Action Plans (“CAP”) based on audit results
    • Validating fabricators’ corrective action documentation to close CAP points
    • Participate in fabricator audits if/when conducted by IKEA
    • Supporting audits of Caesarstone’s manufacturing facilities in US and Israel
    • Lead knowledge training sessions for IKEA Coordinator Team to continually elevate the team’s competency
    • Screen candidates for Caesarstone’s affiliate fabricator network for IWAY eligibility
    • Attend relevant trainings to continually grow industry knowledge

    Qualifications

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements

    • High degree of independence and discipline in creating and adhering to own work schedule
    • High-level organization skills are a must; ability to maintain focus and organization of multiple workstreams while travelling regularly for audits
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; Compliance Specialist will be interfacing regularly with affiliate fabricator network, Caesarstone coordinators, and IKEA Trading counterparts
    • Ability to firmly drive actions and deliver business consequences of non-compliance to affiliate fabricators
    • Must be competent presenter, to share knowledge with Coordinator Team

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent on-the-job experience
    • 5+ years of EHS, OSHA, and/or similar audit experience
    • Familiarity with IKEA IWAY standard is an advantage

      

    Travel:

     

    Must be able to travel up to three (3) weeks per month
