The Distribution Center Manager (DCM) is responsible for the overall performance of his/her assigned facility. Duties include oversight of warehouse operations; compliance with OSHA, Safety and DOT regulations; logistics; inventory management; shipping and receiving; personnel management of material handlers and drivers; promotional support; and transportation management. He/She will ensure inplementation of standard operating procedures and foster a high-performance culture which values quality and continuous improvement.
8+ years of management experience in all facets of inbound/outbound transportation, preferably in the building materials industry
2+ years of experience working with material handling systems
Demonstrable experience and management of inventory and inventory controls systems
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen methodologies
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and inter-company memos/outside correspondence
Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, operations management or related discipline
